This Year's sweater is a top-down, seamless cardigan with a round yoke and traditional button bands. It features one main color and two contrast colors. Sailaway features a range of gauge options and fibers.

Gauge — This pattern is written to work for either DK or worsted weight at the following gauges

DK – 21 st and 30 rows in 4 in/10 cm in color/texture pattern with largest needle (test sample knit on US size 6/4mm), blocked. A few yarn suggestions:
— Miss Babs Yowza | 100% superwash Merino wool | 560 yards/512 meters in 8 oz/225 grams
— Madelinetosh Wool + Cotton | 50% Superwash Merino Wool / 50% Pima Cotton | 219 yards/200 meters in 100 grams
Worsted weight: 20 stitches and 29 rows in 4 in/10 cm in color/texture pattern with largest needle (test sample knit on US Size 7/4.5mm), blocked. A few yarn suggestions:
— Knit Picks High Desert | 100% USA Grown Shaniko Wool | 113 yards in 50 grams
— Berroco Ultra Wool | 100% Superwash Wool | 219 yards/200 meters in 3.5 oz / 100 grams
— Knit Picks Comfy Cotton | 75% Pima Cotton, 25% Acrylic | 109 yards in 50 grams

Gauge Note: The slipped stitch pattern makes the rows denser than the stockinette stitch rows. When taken together, the result is an approximate row gauge specified above. Do not fret too much about row gauge.
